BLACKSBURG, Feb. 25, 2010 - The Virginia Bioinformatics Institute (VBI) at Virginia Tech has released the newest edition of its annual report, marking the tenth anniversary of the institute. With the theme "Impact the Future," the report highlights some of the institute’s achievements over the past 10 years and describes how these successes have prepared VBI to move into its next decade at full speed. The report provides an overview of the meaningful advances being made to improve lives across the globe -- in the areas of health and medicine, agriculture, and improving our nation’s security.
